This little man will be 5 this month. He’s been through a lot – born at 29 weeks, travelled across the country to see Dad when he was 4 months old and I can’t believe how he’s growing into the most wonderful little man.
Remember that tired dresser I snagged off marketplace for $40?
Well here it is…given a little facelift, a bit of love and now this piece of history is welcomed into our home to create more memories.
When it comes to painting furniture my favourite way to alter a piece is to use an Enamel Melamine paint.
First off make sure the piece is super clean, I always use Krud Kutter to remove any residue left on the furniture, once it is completely dried its important to use a primer. Let that dry and then the painting begins.
When painting a large flat surface a foam roller is a must! It will prevent streaking and help the paint to settle smooth. The other thing to consider is to let it dry 24 hours between coats as Enamel paint take much longer to dry than a paint used for walls.
Once dried, it will be wipeable, strong and a new piece will be transformed for years to come.
