Our little man turned 5 this January and I wanted to do something special for meeting this huge milestone. I knew I wanted something bold but had to stay on a budget. Paint!
Paint, is one of my favourite ways to transform a space on a budget. I was so inspired by Benjamin Moore‘s colour of the year 2020 and it was the jumping point for his room. Not only was it so simple to see how the colour would work but they also give suggestions of what colours works well once you have one picked.
I ended up choosing the 2020 colour of the year ‘Heron White’ for the upper portion of his room and the fun pop of colour of the ‘Cushing Green’ for the lower half. We painted two coats and the paint was wonderful to work with, went on with ease and the coverage was incredible.
With the addition of a few inexpensive pillows, some of his old art from his before and shopping our home, the room came out exactly as I hoped – and he loves it!
I am already thinking of the next project I can take on with another colour from Benjamin Moore‘s colours of 2020, they are ‘swoon’ so lovely. Which is your favourite? Happy painting!
